The Industry Traceback Group, LLC (ITG), a wholly-owned subsidiary of USTelecom – The Broadband Association, operates the tracebacks.org website as part of the industry effort to protect voice networks and consumers from fraudulent, abusive, and unlawful calls. The ITG serves as the official FCC-designated U.S. Traceback Consortium.
This Privacy Policy explains the ITG’s collection, use, and sharing of information in connection with our website at tracebacks.org. This Privacy Policy does not apply to the ITG’s Secure Traceback Portal (STP), which is addressed by a separate privacy policy.
Information Collection
We collect information from you both directly and automatically when you visit our website or otherwise engage with ITG. The categories of information we may collect include:
- Identifiers – such as your name, email address, organization, and job title.

- Law Enforcement and Regulatory Agencies: We may disclose information to law enforcement agencies, regulatory bodies (including the FCC), and other appropriate entities as necessary to support illegal call investigations and enforcement actions, as permitted by law.
- Investigation Activities: We may share information to initiate tracebacks through the STP and as part of our overall efforts to identify and stop illegal calls.
- Service Providers: We use third-party service providers to help support our operations and activities, including web hosting services, ticketing and service platforms, analytics providers, and other contractors that support ITG’s mission. These providers are contractually required to protect your information and use it only for the services they provide to us.
- Legal Requirements: We may disclose your information if required by law or to protect the rights, property, or safety of ITG, USTelecom-The Broadband Association, our industry partners, or others.
- Other Purposes: We may share information for other legitimate purposes with your consent or as permitted by law.
We also may share anonymous and/or aggregated information.
Information Protection
We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the information we collect against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.
