The ITG Community

The Industry Traceback Group (ITG) Community gives eligible voice service providers access to additional tools and information to help assess provider risk, strengthen mitigation efforts, and stay informed about illegal and abusive calling activity.

About the ITG Community

ITG Community participants can access resources including:

• Utilize traceback data for Know Your Upstream Provider (KYUP) onboarding and monitoring. Request Traceback Insights Risk Scores and related traceback information for other voice service providers through the ITG’s Secure Traceback Portal.
• Help prevent spoofed calls using numbers that should not originate outbound calls. Access the ITG’s Do Not Originate (DNO) Registry to screen calls against a reasonable DNO list, as required by FCC rules, and help block calls using protected numbers.
• Get additional visibility into illegal and fraudulent calling activity. Access information about current campaigns and emerging trends to help inform mitigation efforts.

ITG Community participation is not required to cooperate in tracebacks or satisfy any legal or regulatory obligation and does not affect whether a provider may receive traceback requests or how the ITG conducts tracebacks. Participation in the ITG Community does not constitute ITG membership or endorsement, certification, or approval by the ITG or any governmental authority, and does not confer a role in ITG governance or traceback operations. 

Eligibility

To participate in the ITG Community, an organization must be a Voice Service Provider as defined in the ITG Policies and Procedures. Providers do not need to have previously appeared in an ITG traceback to request participation; however, providers that have received traceback requests must have responded to and cooperated with those requests. Participation is contingent on successful completion of the onboarding process and remains at the ITG’s discretion. Participation may be conditioned or modified consistent with the ITG Policies and Procedures.

Costs and Billing

ITG Community participation is $500 per year, plus a one-time $250 verification fee.

How to Sign Up

Complete the ITG Community onboarding form to request participation, available at https://portal.tracebacks.org/join. Once onboarding and verification are successfully completed, participants will receive instructions for accessing Community resources through the ITG’s Secure Traceback Portal.
